Good morning. Today is the 169th day of the year. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle of June 18, 1902, reported on a “row among Italians about the ownership of real estate” on President Street in Carroll Gardens. It seems that at a house-warming party, Joseph Imperiale, 21, chased his father around with a gun. His father, Antone Imperiale, reported his son to the police and had him arrested.

Well-known people who were born today include Hall of Fame baseball player Lou Brock, actress Carol Kane (“Hester Street,” “Taxi”), U.S. Senator John D. Rockefeller IV, actress Isabella Rosselini (“Blue Velvet,” “Cousins”), singer-songwriter Paul McCartney of the Beatles and Wings, and journalist Tom Wicker.
