Good morning. Today is the 328th day of the year. The Brooklyn Daily Eagle for Nov. 23, 1902, carried an article about the arrest of the “Bath Beach Slasher,” Frederick Roth. Roth, a German immigrant and a bill collector, told police that he went to the house of the Gardner family to collect a bill, When three family members thought he was a burglar and attacked him, he fought back with his penknife, he claimed.

Well-known people who were born today include actress Sarah Hyland, actor Stanley Livingston (“My Three Sons”), basketball coach Rudy Tomjanovich, Basketball Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson and actor Dwight Schultz (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”).
