FORT HAMILTON — A career expo will be held on March 21, 2012, at the U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hamilton Sports and Fitness Center, 403 McArthur Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Military.com, the largest online military membership organization, and the Non Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA) have joined forces to co-host this expo, which  is designed to place separating and retiring veterans and family members in direct contact with companies and corporations seeking individuals with military training and experience.

“This alliance with Military.com is a perfect match,” said Cliff Davis, NCOA executive director. “NCOA has held job fairs worldwide since 1973, and now we have the outreach capabilities of Military.com, the world’s largest online destination for more than 30 million Americans with military affinity.”

According to Randy Plunkett, director of community and government outreach at Military.com, more than 250,000 veterans leave the service every year. “Career fairs provide the perfect opportunity where transitioning service members, and veterans and their spouses get a chance to have a face-to-face meeting with employers as well as networking among themselves.”
