METROTECH — A report on the second phase of the mixed-use City Point development in Downtown Brooklyn will be presented at the meeting of the Community Board 2 Land Use Committee on Wednesday, March 21, at NYU-Poly in MetroTech.

Tom Montvel-Cohen, representing the developers, will present the design of the second phase. Since it is being built on city-owned land, the design is subject to review by the Public Design Commission, formerly known at the Art Commission.

The committee will also review several Landmarks Preservation Commission applications, including the following two in the Clinton Hill Historic District:

• 40 Cambridge Place, where the plan is to restore the front façade to historical patterns and add a partial-width, two-story rear addition with matching clapboard siding, a second-floor roof terrace, and a rear parlor-level deck with steps to the rear yard.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in Room LC400 of the Dibner Library.
