Changes Proposed for Prospect Park Loop
BROOKLYN (AP) — Officials are considering changes to the Prospect Park Loop in Brooklyn that would eliminate a car lane to create one for pedestrians and another for cyclists.
The proposal calls for the center lane to be dedicated for bikes and the left lane for pedestrians. Cars would be restricted to the right lane.
The changes to the 3.3-mile loop comes in response to a series of injuries involving pedestrians and cyclists.
