Channel your inner urban planner at a DUMBO Public Design Workshop on Tuesday, Jan 8 at Etsy Labs (55 Washington Street).
Representatives from NYC Department of Transportation and NYC Department of Design & Construction will reveal plans and solicit community feedback on the reconstruction of DUMBO/Vinegar Hill streets and renovation of Pearl Street Plaza.
DUMBO has received $20 million in reconstruction money to redo broken Belgian block streets and permanently build out the Pearl Street Triangle and plaza spaces. In July, designers and representatives from NYC DOT and NYC DDC hosted a community design workshop to solicit the public’s ideas about how to do this.
