MANHATTAN — As part of its mission to encourage young women to pursue a career in commercial real estate, the New York Commercial Real Estate Women’s Network (NYCREW) will host “DIGS This WINE,” its  annual fundraising and wine-tasting event, on Thursday, April 26, at NYC Wine Company in Manhattan.

Funds raised will support the group’s “DIG This” initiative being implemented with Girls Quest, formerly the Girls Vacation Fund, an organization for girls ages 8-18, offering outdoor experiences, mentoring, leadership training and peer-to-peer role modeling.

“DIG is the acronym for Developing relationships, Inspiring young women to Grow,” said Karen Dome, president of NYCREW, Brooklyn resident and a senior associate with Marcus & Millichap in Brooklyn.

“One of the main goals of NYCREW is to help attract the best and the brightest young women to a career in commercial real estate,” she said. “The program is focused on introducing young high school women to opportunities in our industry. DIG This is our way of supporting that, even as we have networking opportunities and a relaxing glass of wine.”

The wine-tasting event will take place from 5:45 to 8:15 p.m. NYC Wine is at 167 West 23rd St. Tickets are $80 with advance registration for NYCREW and CREW members, $100 for non-members and $30 for students.

RSVP's must be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24. For information and to register, please visit www.registrationfactory.com/v3/default.cfm?EventUUID=9E11AB45.
