Cops seek public’s help to anti-Arab graffiti vandal
A graffiti vandal who spray-painted a hateful, anti-Arab message in front of Bay Ridge building during the summer still has not been caught, according to police, who are asking the public to help identify him.
Police have also released a photo of the vandal taken by a surveillance camera on the street near the scene of the crime. Police said they are putting the surveillance photo out in the hope that someone out there will recognize the suspect and contact police.
The suspect wrote the words “USA Arab UR Dead” and the words “Where’s the Love” in black spray paint in front of 6817 Third Ave. at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 29.
The crime is sending shock waves through Bay Ridge, a community with a large population of immigrants from the Middle East.
