New York City Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio’s inauguration ceremony will be held on the steps of City Hall at noon on Jan. 1.

His campaign is announcing Tuesday that members of the public can register for tickets to attend the New Year’s Day event.

De Blasio and his wife will also offer tours of Gracie Mansion to New Yorkers on Jan. 5.

He announced last week that his family will live in the Manhattan mansion.

It is the official mayor’s residence but outgoing Mayor Michael Bloomberg opted to remain in his own townhouse.

Bloomberg first took the oath of office at a midnight ceremony on New Year’s Eve, 2002.

The de Blasio campaign has not said if he would do a midnight event in addition to the City Hall ceremony.
