Councilmember Jumaane D. Williams has an offer for neighborhood sports fans that’s hard to beat: Help clean up East Flatbush during Community Clean-Up Day and receive free tickets to a New York Mets game.

Youth between the ages of 14 and24 will be cleaning up abandoned lots, parks, the yards of elderly residents and neglected foreclosed homes on Saturday, Aug. 18, between 10 a.m. and2 p.m.

“I would sincerely like to thank the Mets on behalf of my constituents for this wonderful opportunity. I am excited that we will able to make a local environmental impact while assisting youth in giving back to the East Flatbush community,” said Williams.

Youth interested in participating should contact Monique Waterman at 718-629-2900 or [email protected]. The clean up is co-sponsored by East Flatbush Village, Inc.
