Almost three months after Superstorm Sandy inundated Brooklyn’s waterfront neighborhoods, many residents and businesses are still dealing with insurance claims, mold and emotional distress.
If you’re a Brooklyn resident or business owner who needs help with claims, mortgage modifications, mold or other issues, don’t miss the upcoming free Sandy Relief Clinic on Wednesday, February 6, from 5 – 9 p.m.
The clinic is sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in partnership with government and non-profit organizations, and will take place at Gargiulo’s Restaurant, 2911 W 15th St (at Mermaid Avenue) in Coney Island, one block from Stillwell Avenue (D, F, N & Q station).
Attendees will receive free one-on-one assistance with FEMA & SBA claims, insurance, loans, legal questions and other issues.
Experts will also answer questions about rebuilding, mold mitigation, fire prevention and managing stress in the aftermath of Sandy. (More resources are available online as well at www.newyorkfed.org/sandyrelief/)
