Sheepshead Bites says Councilman Lew Fidler has made what appears to be his first campaign speech for the state Senate seat recently vacated by disgraced state Sen. Carl Kruger. The speech was delivered to the Manhattan Beach Neighborhood Association on Monday night. Although he stopped short of declaring his candidacy, Fidler said, “I hope to be coming to these meetings for a long time to come.” He spent most of his time discussing his experience in government, state issues and his political philosophy.
