BOROUGH PARK —Political and business leaders united recently at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Flushing Bank’s Borough Park Branch, located at 4616 13th Ave.

This is Flushing Bank’s fifth branch in Brooklyn, and the bank shows no sign of slowing down in its goal to open branches throughout the borough. The grand opening at the Borough Park branch was extremely well received, with proclamations and certificates of commendation from many important area leaders and a large attendance by area business managers and neighborhood supporters.

Bank President John Buran leads a strong group of vice presidents in continuing the bank’s 80-year-plus tradition, with its community-based approach to banking relationships. Branch Manager Thomas Schaefer, who formerly worked as a branch manager in Borough Park with a different lending institution, welcomes everyone to his beautiful and spacious branch to experience for themselves how Flushing Bank is “building relationships one customer at a time.”
