Former Brooklynite admits to fatal shooting outside Utica bar
UTICA, N.Y. (AP) — A former New York city man has admitted to fatally shooting a 35-year-old man outside an upstate bar last summer.
Local media outlets report that 42-year-old Jemal Gadson, formerly of Brooklyn, pleaded guilty Thursday in Oneida County Court to shooting Jermaine Stubbs six times on July 23 outside a Utica bar where the two men had a confrontation.
Gadson was arrested several weeks later in North Carolina.
