Flowers and plants in the Narrows Botanical Gardens will blossom even brighter now, thanks to Councilman Vincent Gentile, who has donated $2,000 to the organization thar maintains the gardens. Above, group members happily accept the check from Gentile (front row, second from left) during a recent ceremony. Located on Shore Road and 69th Street, the Narrows Botanical Gardens attracts thousands of visitors each year. In addition to its rose garden, it contains a Japanese garden and an area dedicated to the memory of Sept. 11 victims.
