Brooklyn artist Leon Reid IV wants to install a sculpture of a giant spider on the cables of the Brooklyn Bridge in time for Halloween 2014, according to the Washington Post. He’s calling his vision “A Spider Lurks in Brooklyn,” and is raising the estimated $800,000 for the project and seeking official approval. The spider would be 60 feet long, 30 feet wide and about 15 feet tall, resembling the huge balloons of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
