Teens with aerosol cans were caught on camera spray painting graffiti under the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO – but it was all perfectly legal. The group is attending the AWE (Art Workshop Experience) summer program, and the paint was actually sprayed onto large pieces of paper. The artists are studying painting, sculpture, collage and aerosol appreciation, said teaching artist/art director Christian Aldunate. (www.artworkshopexperience.com)
