Two nonpartisan advocacy groups are offering help to New Yorkers going to the polls.

The New York Public Interest Research Group and Common Cause/NY say they’re running a nonpartisan voter helpline on Tuesday. It will be available from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The number is 212-822-0282.

The groups say voters may not realize that the ballot is two-sided, with candidates on one side and propositions on the other.
