A Brooklyn Heights woman has been identified as the 1,633rd known victim of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, the Daily News reported.

Karol Ann Keasler was 42 and about to be married, the News said. Her remains were identified by the city’s chief medical examiner on Friday.

Widely traveled, Ms. Keasler worked as an event planner for Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, an investment bank with offices on the 89th floor of the south tower. A full DNA profile extracted from a small bone fragment from her foot was reported to have identified her.

“She wasn’t even supposed to be in New York that day,” her younger sister Susan Keasler was quoted as saying on receiving the news at her Nevada Home. “She was in Italy planning her wedding and she came back a week earlier to plan an event for her company.”

Of the 2,753 who perished in the attack, the remains of 1,120 have either not been recovered or not yet identified.
