BAY RIDGE — Holy Angels Catholic Academy, the first coed Catholic academy in Bay Ridge, was established in 2009. The former home of Our Lady of Angels School, Holy Angels Catholic Academy has reinvented itself to grow into the new model of Catholic education, while still maintaining the same core values and beliefs that parents look for in Catholic education, school officials said.
Holy Angels enjoys the benefit of a prestigious group of business and community leaders to govern as its Board of Directors.

The academy’s philosophy is simple, according to school officials — it serves as a place at which inquisitive minds grow and faith is nurtured. The children learn to grow spiritually and intellectually.  Curriculum is dictated by New York State and the Diocese of Brooklyn.

Students are also fortunate enough to enjoy free after-school clubs, such as dance and sign language.

With the Board of Directors and Parent Association, the academy has made significant changes. In the past three years, it has added a full-day Nursery Program and Early Childhood Motor Skills Center. It boasts a state-of-the-art Technology Center, SMARTBoards in its classrooms and two gymnasiums that are home to students as well as participants in Our Lady of Angels’ Sports Program.

Holy Angels has embraced the changes that will make its students successful, all while maintaining the same tuition rate for three years, officials said.

Holy Angels also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities in coordination with Our Lady of Angels’ Parish and Sports Programs.
