BROOKLYN — This month marks the fifth anniversary of Ideal Properties Group LLC, one of the youngest independent real estate brokerages in Brooklyn.

Five years ago, the firm was comprised of three brokers, a spare bedroom in a brownstone in Prospect Heights, and a dream. Today, Ideal Properties is a 100-person-strong presence with three real estate offices in brownstone Brooklyn areas. A fourth office is in the works, according to Aleksandra Scepanovic, managing director at Ideal, who added “its exact geographic location is still a corporate secret.”

The brokerage is celebrating its fifth year of “hard work and love of the real estate business” by giving back to the associates and the community,” she explained  The celebration was kicked off on Sunday, April 1, with the season’s first ride on The Cyclone, Brooklyn’s most famous landmark; the celebration will end on Sunday, April 29, at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for the celebration of the 2012 Sakura Matsuri Festival.

In between, approximately 20 events are planned to both celebrate the borough and the firm’s professional success within it.

According to Scepanovic, these events include discovery tours of Prospect Park, dinners at Peter Luger Steakhouse and tours of Green-Wood Cemetery’s hidden gems as well as bowling nights, potluck picnics and late-night gatherings in bars across brownstone Brooklyn.
