Kids Hold Contest To See Who Has Cutest Pet
Dyker Heights — Pictures of dogs, cats, birds and other creatures were laid out on a long table in the lunchroom at St. Bernadette School. In front of each picture was a coin box. As lunchtime wore on, small groups of children approached the table, looked at the pictures, and put money in the coin boxes.
The youngsters were voting with their money.
As part of the celebration of Catholic Schools Week, St. Bernadette School, 1313 83rd St., held a “Cutest Pet Contest” on Jan. 30 in which students brought in framed pictures of their pets to be judged by their peers.
