Let them eat cake … and all sorts of goodies at Villabate Alba

Cake sold here at Villabate Alba on 18th Avenue.

Cake is a many-splendored thing at Villabate Alba.

The 18th Avenue pasticceria even has a cake version of its cannoli, which are its top-selling item. The cake's got ricotta cannoli cream layered into it. Mamma mia!

There's a traditional cake, “Cassata Siciliana,” at the Alaimo family's popular Bensonhurst bakery. Or champagne cake for the more adventurous. Too many cakes to count.

The marzipan's also quite something to see – it's baked into some surprising shapes.

So pretty.

A horse of a different color, inside the Sicilian-centric shop.

Forbidden fruit? Nope. This is marzipan.

Speaking of marzipan, guess what this “seafood” is made of?

Cannoli. How can you resist?

O.M.G. Yum-my.

Gelato served here.
