It’s been a long time coming, but the units are finally sold at On Prospect Park, the luxury all-glass, Richard Meier-designed condominium at 1 Eastern Parkway that was begun more than five years ago.

Brown Harris Stevens, which took over marketing and sales in January, and  developer Second Develop-ment Services (SDS) reported this week that the condominium — now being called the “Richard Meier On Prospect Park” condominium — is also fully occupied.

“We are thrilled to announce the completion of sales and rentals,” said Louis Greco, president of SDS. “The team at Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing put their market acumen and resources to work and the remaining residences were sold or rented within six months. We could not be more pleased with the outcome.”

Calling it “a 15-story masterpiece in design,” Greco credited the recent sales success to choices of one-to-five-bedroom units — which were available in simplex and duplex layouts — as well as the open floor plans, the floor-to-ceiling windows and the many terraces.

He also credits the building’s amenities, which include a concierge, 24-hour doorman, on-site attended parking, a 30,000-square-foot health club — complete with indoor swimming pool, meeting room, children’s room and billiards room — as well as the available storage and rooftop sundeck.

As the Eagle reported in January, 93 of the original 114 units were sold by The Corcoran Group, either individually or as combination units.

Steven Kliegerman of BHS Development Marketing said at the time his team took over that he thought it would be “a quick sellout of the remaining units in this stunning building.”
