On its website, MTA.info, the MTA posted its snowstorm update, urging “customers to leave work early today and finish traveling early tonight.”

Weather delays are expected on all forms of New York City transit and express subway service will be “curtailed” after the evening rush, the MTA said. Buses will run at 80-90 percent capacity and there may be some suspensions.

Some of the outdoor subway lines, including the 5, N, Q and A lines, may be suspended if the conditions get dangerously severe. “While the underground portions of the system remain unaffected during snowstorms, there are nearly 220 miles of outdoor track throughout the boroughs,” the MTA said.
