The Brooklyn Nets Basketball Clinic and Bedgear Sleep Education event for the NYPD Youth Police Academy tomorrow, August 9 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The event will take place at Boys and Girls High School, 1700 Fulton Street, in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Approximately 150 students ages 10-14 will participate in the clinic with Nets player Tyshawn Taylor, Nets superhero BrooklyKnight and Nets and Bedgear staff.

The NYPD Youth Police Academy will be treated to several exciting group activities including:

  • Meet and greet with Tyshawn Taylor
  • Dribbling and shooting drills with the Brooklyn Nets
  • Autograph session with Tyshawn Taylor and the BrooklynKnight
  • Demonstration from Sleep Advocate Liz Oliner of the Sleep Awareness Foundation

Athletes know the importance of getting a good night’s sleep especially before a game. The Brooklyn Nets have teamed up with Bedgear to teach kids lessons that they can use for the rest of their lives. Being prepared for a game, school or a job is a key to success, and sleep is a big part of that preparation.
