NY Restoration Project expands events in Brooklyn gardens
Throughout September, the New York Restoration Project is bringing unique programming to two of its Brooklyn community gardens. As part of the organization’s commitment to activating outdoor spaces and encouraging community engagement, two of NYRP’s gardens will host free, interactive performance-experiences by the Indie-Ballet Collaborative, a New York City-based dance company aimed to create a synergetic relationship between dance and other art forms. The dance company, founded by choreographer Ariel Asch, will engage the community in fun, family-friendly sessions that marry various forms of movement, including yoga, creative dance, and improvisation, with musical performances by local musicians.
The sessions, all of which are free and open to the public, will take place four Saturdays throughout the month of September:
