A Brooklyn police officer accused of moonlighting as a pimp has been fired by the NYPD after a departmental trial, according to the Daily News. Officer Monty Green, however, denies doing anything wrong, and his lawyer, Eric Sanders, plans to sue in federal court. Sanders was quoted as saying that the case is based on stereotypes and innuendo.”

Sources told the Daily News that Internal Affairs first became suspicious of Green in 2009, when a wiretap caught him talking to a known pimp about “pimping prostitutes.” IAB investigators also said Green, who was most recently assigned to fleet duty, was involved in prostitution at a now-closed Fort Greene club called Rockwell’s Bar and Lounge.
