Take a free yoga class, play a game of life-sized chess, or send the kids on a scavenger hunt at the first of two Summer Space events on Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights on Sunday, September 15.

If you’d rather explore, the Brooklyn Historical Society will be leading a free walking tour of Brooklyn Heights at 12:30 p.m. Afterwards, you can relax in the sun at one of the tables scattered along Montague Street – merchants will be handing out food samples and discounts, and the Uni Project is providing a pop-up library.

Etsy New York will show handy folk how to transform simple materials into extraordinary things in the craft demonstration, and BAM is leading a button-making workshop.

The favorite destination for the little ones will be Montague Street’s own Play Land, with a bubble machine, chalk, hula hoops, beach balls, and more.

Another Summer Streets event takes place September 22, with dance, music performances and the ever-popular Brooklyn Heights Dog Show.
