When the Bay Ridge Lawyers Association members make their annual sojourn to Atlantic City to hold their Winter Seminar, they will enjoy timely CLE sessions involving prominent jurists and may even have the opportunity to visit the tables, for which A.C. is famous.
President Joann Monaco will lead the association’s very organized and attended endeavor which takes place Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 at the Tropicana, located, of course, on the Atlantic City famed boardwalk.
They may not run into Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) or other Boardwalk Empire television characters, but they will be able to hear from Justice Patricia DiMango, who has gained deserved acclaim for cleaning up criminal calendars in the Bronx.
Joining Justice DiMango on the CLE-accredited panel will be Kings Chief Administrative Judge for Civil Matters Hon. Lawrence Knipel, Justice Barbara Panepinto, Justice Vincent DelGiudice and Steve Finkelstein, the highly regarded wills and estates lawyer.
In addition, BBA CLE Director Meredith Symonds reminds us that even incurable technophobes will benefit from the Jan. 23 offering titled "Tech Tips for Attorneys CLE: Your Firm’s Internet Presence," which gets underway at 6 p.m. at BBA Headquarters, 123 Remsen St.
Ms. Symonds notes that "A technology expert and attorney will help you improve your practice’s image on the internet with top tips" while earning 1.5 Practice Management Credits and half a credit.
The presenter will be Andrew Cabasso, an attorney with Jurispage. Sponsoring it is BBA Technology Chair Andrea Bonina, an internet pioneer, with co-chair Daniel Antonelli. They will cover email, website, SEO, Internet marketing and, of course, social media.
