The panel was comprised also of Judge Joanne Quinones, BBA President Domenick Napoletano, Scott Starr, Melissa Bonaldes, Kerry Ward, Hajin Suh, Ned Gassman and Evan Goldberg — whose knock-down-drag-out performance as an irate justice refusing to recuse himself from a trial was a highlight of the night.

His outraged response, delivered in fire and fury, belied Evan’s kind and polite demeanor. His positive style, with which he has had much success, is much like that of his late father, Justice Richard Goldberg.

“When is it a good idea to ask a justice to recuse herself?” someone asked. The answer: there isn’t necessarily a good time to do this because the targeted jurist has full jurisdiction in the decision. In other words, tread softly in this area.

The Inn officers also include President-elect Ellen Spodek, Counselor Dave Chidekel, Treasurer Justice Arthur Schack and Secretary Judge Miriam Cyrulnik. Immediate past president is Ross D’Apice.
