BBA wine connoisseurs plan a tasty evening

Undaunted by record cold temperatures and a nasty snowstorm, the wheels of the well-oiled Brooklyn Bar Association continue to spin and, of course, maintain traction.

For instance, we’re advised that one of the BBA’s most delicious events, a wine tasting benefiting the Volunteer Lawyers Project, is moving ahead apace. This tasty fete is set for 6 p.m., Feb. 25 as the Brooklyn Wine Exchange at 138 Court St. (No CLE credits will be awarded for member participation, no matter how spirited!!!)

Good wine comes at a price, and admission is posted at $60 per person. But there’s no better cause than the BBA’s Volunteer Lawyers Project, which has helped thousands of the indigent with legal problems the past two decades.

Sponsoring the event, which is cast as “France vs. USA,” is certified real estate appraiser Leonard Baldassano. Co-hosting the presentation are the Young Lawyers Sections and Pro Bono Committee of the BBA, headed this year by the estimable President Andy Fallek.
