Following “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” Bay Ridge United Church (BRUC) supported the Brooklyn Cyclones’ fundraising efforts recently.

At the Cyclones’ golf outing, BRUC sponsored a tee box and provided three golfers. Bob Adamski, John Gaw and Neil Kennedy competed in the scramble at Dyker Beach Golf Course. Money from this outing supported the NY Penn League Foundation and the NYC Chapter of the ALS Association.

That same week, Bay Ridge United Church supported Water for People at the Cyclones’ benefit game on Aug 3. Water For People works in developing countries to help impoverished people obtain safe water and sanitation services. The sponsors provided rally towels and the Cyclones provided hats and fireworks.

Bay Ridge United Church is a joint congregation of the Reformed Church of America (RCA) and the Presbyterian Church of the USA (PCUSA.)  The church is at 636 Bay Ridge Parkway. Pastor Jane Donnelly leads worship Sundays at 11 a.m., with Bible study offered at 10 a.m.
