Russo Named Acting BCC President, Leads Management Team

Rick Russo, a vice president at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, has been chosen to serve as Acting President in the wake of the departure of Carl Hum, former president. Russo heads a senior management team at BCC that includes vice president Jeanette Nigro, a specialist in government and public affairs, and vice president Dean Mohs, a specialist in innovative insurance and health care services for members. In a letter to members, BCC Chairman Peter Meyer, head of TD Bank’s New York Market, praised the dedication and innovation  of his new management team. He also announced that “ I am pleased to report that the Executive Board has nominated members Gil Cygler and Denise Arbescu to head a search committee for a new BCC president.

Other news reported by the BCC includes the enrollment of the 1,000th member business into a special health plan called Brooklyn Healthworks, designed specifically for BCC members. And ibrooklyn.com, the BCC website, has launched a new, state-of the-art upgrade to serve members with more modern design and function.
