Sandy victims coming down with coughs and rashes

Many Superstorm Sandy victims are coming down with serious debris-related illnesses, reports the New York Times. They complain of rashes, asthma and serious coughing, and many need tetanus shots. Culprits include mold, oil spills, sewage and other toxic substances.

The sick and injured have been “streaming into ad hoc emergency rooms and relief centers Long Beach and the Rockaways, the Times says.
