‘Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert’ Graciously Accepts $403 Check from JASA

Ruth Cohen (second from left), president of the Jewish Association for Service of the Aged (JASA) office at the Hebrew Educational Society (HES) in Canarsie, presents a check for $403 to Kings County Supreme Court Justice Ellen Spodek (center), co-president of Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert (JALBCA), along with Fay Ascher (left), recording secretary of JASA at the HES; Michele Brown (second from right), treasurer of JASA at the HES; and Sue Ann Partnow (left), project director of JASA at the HES.

JASA donated the $403 that it raised in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month when JASA senior citizens sold their handmade jewelry, which were pink pins designed in the shape of a flower and featured the ubiquitous Breast Cancer Awareness pink ribbon.
