St. Anselm School Students Are ‘Buddies’
BAY RIDGE — St. Anselm School celebrated Catholic Schools Week (Jan. 30 through Feb. 3) with lots of events designed to bring students closer to each other, their families, and the community.
On Jan. 31, the school at 365 83rd St. hosted “Buddy Day,” during which students in the upper grades spent quality time with their younger counterparts.
Fifth-graders Douglas Johnson and Frederick Ayoub read aloud to 3-year-olds in the school’s nursery program. Eighth-graders helped pre-kindergarten kids make snowmen out of paper at the arts and crafts table. And kindergarten youngsters received assistance from sixth-graders in making groundhog cutouts.
