St. Francis (Pa.) beats St. Francis Brooklyn 64-61

Earl Brown scored 19 points and pulled down 12 boards to help St. Francis (Pa.) snap an eight-game losing streak and win just its second game of the season, edging St. Francis Brooklyn 64-61 Saturday.

Ollie Jackson added 14 points and Tony Peters chipped in 13 for the Red Flash.

The Terriers (9-12, 5-5 Northeast Conference) led 56-55 with 3:20 left to play before Jackson and Peters combined to score the Red Flash’s next six points. The Terriers missed three layups and a 3-pointer during the spurt and did not score again until Jalen Cannon’s layup with 22 seconds showing.

The Red Flash (2-19, 2-8) shot 55 percent (24 of 44), their second best output this season, and held the Terriers to 38 percent (22 of 58).

Cannon posted 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Terriers, who shot a season low nine percent (2 of 21) from 3-point range.
