Chief Judge Lippman To Deliver Valentine’s Day Address  

EAGLE STREET — Today, on Valentine’s Day, New York State Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman will deliver his annual report on the “State of the Judiciary.”

Similar to the State of the Union and State of the City speeches issued by the president and mayor, respectively, the chief judge will unveil his primary legislative and administrative initiatives for the year.

Hon. Lippman will be accompanied by state Chief Administrative Judge A. Gail Prudenti, the former presiding justice of the Appellate Division Second Department in Brooklyn Heights, as well as the other six associate judges of the New York Court of Appeals that Lippman presides over.

Lippman will also be available for questions immediately following the event that is scheduled for noon today. The speech will be given from inside the Court of Appeals Hall, located on Eagle Street in Albany.
