Teenager Shot and Killed in Bushwick by Off-Duty Detective

BROOKLYN (AP) — The NYPD says a man was shot and killed by an off-duty detective in Brooklyn.

The shooting occurred on Grove Street in the Bushwick section shortly before midnight Sunday.

Police say the man was pronounced dead at Woodhull Hospital.

NY1 is reporting the deceased to be 17-year-old Antoine White, who they report was attempting to rob the detective when the shooting took place.

Police say the detective was struck in the face with some kind of object. He was taken to Wyckoff Hospital in stable condition.

Police say they are looking for a second suspect.
