Three Brooklyn students chosen for ‘All American High School Film Festival’
Screenings in NYC Oct. 4 – 6
Julianna Negron, Leo Gallagher and Stephanie Cherng, high school filmmakers from Brooklyn, are official selections for the All-American High School Film Festival, taking place in New York City for the first time October 4 – 6. Their films were three of 84 selections from a pool of over 1,000 films representing the top young filmmakers from around the world.
In “Temporary Home,” Julianna Negron, a sophomore at Brooklyn Community High School of Communications, Arts, and Media, shows viewers what it’s like to be a teenager without a permanent home.
Leo Gallagher, a junior at Packer Collegiate, is presenting the enigmatic “Cycle Two.” Leo is also a Scholastic Art Gold Key winner in art/animation.
