Construction continues on the Barclays Center sports and entertainment complex in Downtown Brooklyn, which, as regular readers of this newspaper know, will be home to the Brooklyn Nets basketball team when it opens this fall. Other planned events include a series of concerts by Jay-Z, a college basketball tournament, a concert by opera singer Andrea Bocelli and a preseason New York Islanders-New Jersey Devils hockey game.
