Young walrus now calls Aquarium home

Mitik, an orphaned walrus calf rescued off the coast of Alaska, sits on a table near his tank at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s New York Aquarium in the Coney Island, Brooklyn. Mitik suffered from a number of ailments when he was rescued in July, but he is making progress as he receives round-the-clock care at the aquarium.
