Independence Care System and Artists on Wheels, two organizations dedicated to the health and well-being of adults with physical disabilities, held an art show on May 15 at the ICS Brooklyn Center at 25 Elm Place. All of the art on display was created by artists with a variety of physical disabilities, including spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, arthritis and traumatic brain injuries. Hermina Jackson, who can’t move her hands, uses a paintbrush with her mouth. With her is German Rodriguez, also an ICS member and an art instructor.
