Star-News, says Joey O’s Pizzeria “brings a bit of Brooklyn to Ocean Isle Beach.� It mentions the muscular, T-shirt-clad workers, one of whose shirts reads “Brooklyn�; the satellite images of Italy and New York City; and the painting of Sinatra and his Rat Pack playing pool. The reviewer praises Joey’s calzones, pizzas and spaghetti and meatballs, but pans the spaghetti with clam sauce.
