Prokhorov Approved to Own the Nets

It was announced late Tuesday that the NBA Board of Governors approved Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov as the new principal owner of the Nets Basketball team, which will eventually move to the Barclays Center, under construction at Atlantic Yards in Brooklyn.

As has been widely reported, I reached a financial settlement with the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC), tool of Atlantic Yards developer Forest City Ratner, to move out of my home—which the ESDC took ownership of on March 1st—by May 7.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS — Forest City Ratner Companies, the developer of the Atlantic Yards project, Wednesday reached an agreement with opposition leader Daniel Goldstein, described as “the remaining resident residing in the project’s footprint,” to leave his condo apartment by May 7 in exchange for payment.
