Community Board 10 member Helen Sokoloski, who died suddenly on September 27, was remembered and honored at the October board meeting. Here son Joseph Sokoloski listens to tribute by board member Mary Nolan after he gave his thanks and a check to the Commodore Barry Club of Brooklyn, which Sokoloski supported and of which Nolan is president, and he also presented a check with thanks to BRAVO. Sokoloski, before moving to Bay Ridge with her son a few years ago, was a longtime member of Community Board 7 when living in Sunset Park. Her funeral mass was at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church and interment was at St. John’s Cemetery.
