‘Green Church’ Hosts Guild Concert Fundraiser
by Brooklyn Eagle (edit@brooklyneagle.net), published online 02-14-2008

BAY RIDGE — The Bay Ridge United Methodist Church lent its beautiful interior to the Guild for Exceptional Children on Feb. 11 for a concert fundraiser. Attendees enjoyed a line-up that included Joanna and Neil Kelly, Endless Possibilities and The John Lepore Band — a quartet that includes Paul Cassone, the executive director and CEO of the Guild. Green Church pastor Robert Emerick even joined in with the musicians, playing tamborine.

The Guild’s fundraising goal is to raise $4 million in order to complete the renovation and expansion of their building at 260 68th St. in Bay Ridge. The expansion is designed to improve the Guild’s ability to address the needs of the first generation of senior citizens with developmental disabilities.
