Last week, HBO premiered a new documentary by Ăźber lesbian Rosie OâDonnell. âA Family Is a Family Is a Family: A Rosie OâDonnell Celebration,â is still airing this week, and focuses on the many complex and beautiful traditional and non-traditional families.
Some of you know my situation. My family is more than just non-traditional. We take a lot of explaining, and frankly, Iâve not only grown sick of explaining, but itâs taken a serious toll on me always having to be responsible for the feelings of my non-traditional family.

Markowitz Announces Partnership
With Brooklyn Community Pride Center
BOROUGH HALL â Last Thursday, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined members of the LGBT community at Brooklyn Borough Hall to announce a major partnership with the nonprofit Brooklyn Community Pride Center (BCPC) that will provide community programming and support services for LGBT Brooklynites as progress continues on establishing the boroughâs first LGBT center.
