Lenny Briscoe on “Law and Order,” a role he played from 1998 until his death in 2004. He also starred in the original Broadway productions of The Fantasticks, 42nd Street and Chicago.

‘GET A FINANCIAL LIFE’ at Kingsborough.
Today at 11:30 a.m., personal finance expert Beth Kobliner, author of Get a Financial Life: Personal Finance in Your Twenties and Thirties, will speak to 100 students at Kingsborough Community College.
Beth will address issues of jobs, saving, investing and smart finance that are not only 100 percent essential in today’s economy but are the kind of vital life lessons that will help the city’s young people prepare themselves for today’s economy.
At the event, you’ll get to hear from young people about their hope for jobs, their habits for spending, and their plans for savings.
Beth Kobliner is a former writer for Money magazine and a current columnist for Glamour. She recently participated in the PBS special “Your Life, Your Money.”
EMPIRE STATE COLLEGE TO Hold Information Session in Brooklyn.
Empire State College, part of the State University of New York, will hold a public information session about its associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at its Brooklyn location, 177 Livingston St.
